Henkel Announces New Address for Central Iowa Operations

Henkel Construction Company recently moved our central Iowa office to a new location.  We will continue to be headquartered in Mason City.

We purchased and extensively renovated an office building located at 2500 Ford Street.  This office building was originally designed and occupied by a structural engineering firm, and had experienced significant deterioration in recent years.  We also purchased the adjacent property at 2700 Ford Street, which will serve as our construction yard, and will house our equipment.

Some features of our new location include:

  • A two-story office building, which includes 2,700 square feet on each level.  The renovated building’s beauty is the result of an overall simple geometric shape enhanced by architectural elements with clean lines that support the shape of the building.
  • Open trusses provide interior volume at the upper level of the office building and an abundance of natural light is achieved from many windows.
  • A move-in ready yard building that includes a four-bay garage and a small office/receiving area for our yard staff.
  • Green building solutions such as L.E.D. lighting, closed-cell insulation, and high-efficiency HVAC systems.  Further, saving this existing building without filling the landfill with a lot of debris is one of the most “green” things that can be done in our industry.

“We’re pleased our presence in Ames and central Iowa continues to grow.  In 2017, our company observed and celebrated our 125 years of success, so it’s fitting that we’ve taken steps during this anniversary year which will help us to experience further growth, and continue our tradition of excellence for the next century,” said Gary Schmit, President of Henkel Construction Company.
