Good Shepherd Prairie Place Condo
Good Shepherd Inc. is adding a $6.8 million condominium complex to its range of care services and facilities in Mason City. Prairie Place will be a three story, Prairie School-style influenced building consisting of 32 living units with an underground parking garage. It is scheduled for completion late next summer. Good Shepherd has returned to longtime partner Henkel Construction to build the structure. Skott & Anderson Architects is the designer.
Once the 73,028 square foot building is complete tenants will also have access to several amenities including a large gathering room, club room and exercise area. Prairie Place will become another part of Good Shepherd’s continuum of care. Individuals purchasing a unit will have priority access, if needed, to Kentucky Ridge and Cornerstone Assisted Living as well as Good Shepherd Health Center for any skilled and rehabilitative services.
Henkel Construction has completed many projects at Good Shepherd including a renovation and 21,000 square foot vertical addition in 2013. Henkel also completed a renovation project at The Manor and previously constructed a 28,677 square foot addition under the main portion of the building containing 33 beds and administrative offices.
"Henkel Construction has done a fantastic job at Good Shepherd spanning many years of projects. From the Project Manager to the Superintendent, each worker on the project has always been very professional. The quality of workmanship they provide cannot be surpassed. Everyone that was involved in the last project bent over backward to ensure we were happy and satisfied with the end result," said Mike Svejda, CEO. "On past projects Henkel made sure we were always informed of safety issues with our residents. They had our residents in mind first and foremost. They strive to please us, the residents, and the residents' families. I would recommend Henkel to anyone."
