Henkel was the General Contractor for Lincoln Intermediate School, formerly Roosevelt Middle School. The 92,833 square foot building replaced the original building which was constructed in 1938. The new facility utilizes daylighting to cut down on the need for artificial light. Sensors help automatically adjust light levels based on the available sunlight filtered into each area. The school is a benchmark project in energy efficient design for the state of Iowa.
