This new 213-foot bridge over the Shell Rock River is south of Nora Springs. It consists of three 10- by 30.5-foot precast concrete beams. We started the project on June 21st, 2021, removing the old steel bridge that was built around 1938. We completed the project June 14th, 2022. The bridge took longer than anticipated due to a redesign of the east abutment and weather issues.
