Studebaker Elementary and Boys & Girls Club, Des Moines (Design-Bid-Build)

Studebaker Elementary and Addition is a large precast, masonry and steel addition. The nearly 20,000 square feet of added space includes 2nd and 5th grade classrooms and bathrooms. It also houses a gym / certified FEMA shelter and an attached Boys and Girls Club space. For this Design-Bid-Build project we remodeled the layout of the existing building’s kitchen. New kitchen equipment includes two walk-in coolers. The old gym is now converted to a cafeteria that includes a small kitchenette.
