Henkel Construction Company worked through a dry summer following a very wet spring to complete the East Gateway Bridge across University Boulevard to ISU’s Jack Trice Stadium. We had the quarter-mile long open-air bridge ready in time for thousands of Cyclone fans on opening day. The bridge not only enhances pedestrian safety, but also serves as a striking visual gateway to the university. We also constructed the G7 RV Parking lot, bringing the size of the project to 11 acres.
Master Builders of Iowa (MBI) selected Henkel as winner of the Masters Award in the $1-10M project category for this project. The Masters Award recognizes construction teams that reflect exceptional management skills, imagination, perseverance under unusual and challenging conditions, responsiveness to client needs, and innovative construction techniques.
