Mason City School District chose Henkel to deliver this $25 million, 126,000 square foot sports complex for Mason City High School. The fieldhouse, just south of the stadium, includes a 200-meter track and three different multi-purpose courts, while the natatorium, on the south side of the gymnasium area, includes an 11-lane pool with a second-level mezzanine and seating area. The new atrium, with ticketing, restrooms, and concession areas joins the new fieldhouse and the existing high school gymnasium. An elevated walkway provides access to the natatorium.
Building during Covid, there were considerable supply chain issues affecting precast, metal wall panels, electrical gear and underground HVAC ductwork. We re-sequenced work to minimize their impact on the schedule.
