Henkel Construction Company and Accord Architecture completed a design-build project for a distillery and cocktail bar in Clear Lake, Iowa. 173˚ Craft Distillery began producing distilled spirits shortly after completion.
The new business’ goals are to produce spirits for the cocktail bar and to sell their bottled product to the public. The industrial-looking facility — with exposed concrete floors, ceilings, and minimal finishes — includes plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, including a rooftop patio bar. The production side includes a 125-gallon still, mash, and fermentation tanks.
